Coffee Table Styling

I am secretly obsessed with an amazingly styled coffee table. I say 'secretly' because I don't want to admit that until I have a place big enough to have a non-function table... I won't be able to have one of these perfectly styled coffee tables myself.  Currently, I have a few items styled on my coffee table {PB trunk}, but the second my boyfriend comes over, everything is moved... and replaced with feet and pizza boxes! :) Since I know that is not going to change anytime soon (and I am ok with that), I've been thinking about other ways I can display some of the fabulous books I own / are on my wishlist. Bedside table? Console table? Maybe even the bottom of my bar cart? We'll see... but here is some of my inspiration:

Baby Spaces

Not pregnant. No babies.  But... my pinterest board {kids + baby spaces} is slowly filling up!  And I had to share my favorite little nursery with all of my mom-to-be friends (seriously, EVERYONE is prego right now)!  I love this room because it looks like a grown up room, but with touches of baby written all over it!  Oh, and its absolutely perfect as a gender neutral nursery.  Add a chalkboard wall... and the room would be 100% complete. Seriously, how adorable is this room??? Must file away for future reference! xxoo.

THE stunning Hermes Tray

I've been lusting over the Hermes serving tray ever since I saw it in Olivia Palmero's NYC apartment photos in 2010. Since then I have seen this beauty pop up on {pinterest} and every time, my heart skips a beat!  Seriously, how perfectly styled are these vintage trays!!? In love.

Guest Post: {A Creative Day}

Hi lovely readers! I was thrilled when sweet Ashley asked me to come over to her lovely blog today! A {little} dash of ash has been one of my favorite blogs for a while now, and I'm so glad we are blogging friends :-) I'm Eileen from A Creative Day, where I ramble on about whatever strikes my fancy, but mainly interior design and fashion. I work for an interior designer now but my degree is in Architecture, so I'm totally a design nerd :-)  I'm so excited to look forward to spring and can't wait for the warmer weather, but I love that winter is time to time to curl up with a good book and hot tea, cuddle by the fire with your honey, and enjoy time together warm inside. I've found myself drawn to deep moody spaces this winter, full of drama and warmth. Wouldn't any of these be the perfect spot to hibernate?

Apartment Tour: {Alvhem Makleri & Interior}

It is no surprise that I love home decor and I love seeing how people decorate their space!  So... when I came across this amazing flat, I was drooling (with jealousy) and knew I had to share with you!  The neutral colors, combined with the wood floors and the impeccable details makes me wish I lived there... Only problem is... I believe this place is in Sweden!  Hope you enjoy the tour..

Monogram ♥

I had fun browsing {West Elm}'s new monogram shop after receiving their email blast today!  It reminded how initials can make any simple gift just perfect... oh, and it reminded me how much I secretly love anything with A's on it!  What can I say... A is my favorite letter! ;)  Check out their shop for some great gift giving ideas!

My New Bedroom!

Ok, it's not exactly, my bedroom, yet!  But... I finally picked out how I am going to decorate my room in my new apartment in Philly!  I am ordering everything today and Mom & Dad will be in town next weekend to help me paint (same color as below) and put it all together with my things (so it will have a little bit of a different feel... no owls or rabbit figurines ;)!  I am so excited! Can't wait to show you photos!  PS. The curtains are my favorite!!!!

I ♥ Bar Carts!

I have been looking everywhere for a cute, vintage, affordable bar cart for my new apartment! And… by affordable I mean, anything less than $1000!!! Who knew these beauties were so expensive! I was absolutely sticker shocked! Of course there are knock-off’s, but I want a beautiful gold one with glass and… well, you know, expensive looking – just not the crazy price tag for something that is only going to sit there looking pretty! But since that is impossible to find… I think I am going to go with this {one} and get cute gold accents instead! Here are some bar cart looks that I am loving!

Fab 5 Friday: Week 6

Happy Friday!  How excited are you that it is finally the weekend! It was a short week at work for me, but I am still so happy to see Friday!  I haven't done a fab five friday in a few weeks, so I thought I would have a special one - five fabulous finds for the bedroom!  I've been craving a move so I can redecorate my space!  I am starting with the bedroom since I haven't updated that since I graduated college.  While it will be sad to part with my beautiful anthropologie vintage bedding and decor , it is time for an update -- something a little more modern and fresh!  Below are five rooms I am LOVING! Chevron - Take 2!

Last week I posted about how I'm loving chevron in home decor and how I would really like a big rug!  Then blogger went crazy.... after a week of my post still missing, I decided it is lost in cyberspace forever!  Here is a little inspiration from last week that I am still loving....

I have a slight obsession with anything chevron right now -- especially home interiors and especially rugs, flooring and paint!  I can't wait to move into a new place sometime soon so I can redecorate and add a little chevron to my decor! :)

Blog Crawl: Decorate This Space

Today I am participating in Blog Crawl created by Jillian at {Cornflake Dreams.}  Each day a blog crawl participant shows off a home interior design inspiration!  Click {here} for the list of participants and links to their blog!  When I was in Chicago for Amanda's bachelorette party, Mom treated us to a day at the spa.  My absolute favorite thing about the spa (even over the 1.5 hour massage) was their relaxation room.  I could have lived in that room!  Actually, I kind of did.  At the end of the day I was MIA... but don't worry, Mom knew exactly where to find me!  I think one day I will have a relaxation room in my house... so here is my inspiration for a necessity in every busy woman's life!  

There isn't a lot to this room since the purpose is to relax!  But I will make sure that my relaxation room is full of thousands of comfy pillows, blankets and eye masks!  I will also have amazing scents and gorgeous dim lighting in the room.  The room will have sound proof walls and no windows.  Oh, and absolutely no internet connection!  Just cozy beds and light music!  Ok.  Pinch. Time to wake up from my dream....  Check back tomorrow for more inspiration at this lovely {blog}!

Painting with Navy

I love the perfect, classic color, Navy. I think it is safe to say it is one of my favorite colors (next to green of course)!  For a couple years now, I have been talking about a navy painted room (inspired by a navy and white rug I found at Pottery Barn).  However, you can't just paint any room a dark color - you have to have a big room with lots of light and beautiful white trim to brighten it up.  Or you need to pair with amazing bright accent pieces - kind of like these amazing inspirations below.  One day...
