Ohio Photo Sessions [Sneak Peak]

Last weekend when I was in Ohio I scheduled fall mini sessions with some of my favorite kiddos! I only took a few sessions since we had a some other plans for the weekend... so I can't wait to catch up with the rest of you next time I am in town! :) First up... Nolan.  You may remember him {here}, {here} and {here}... and man, is he growing up fast! Love that first photo of him... he is all smiles! Oh, and he had big news for me too... he is going to be a big brother in April!! :)

Let me introduce you to Nolan's cousins! Big sister Naomi and triplets, Olivia, Ella, and Nora! Seriously, the sweetest and most adorable family ever! How stinking cute are their outfits? And... I am so happy we got one of each of them by the same lighted tree! Love.

This handsom little man was my model {a year ago}... and he is still posing up a storm! He had no trouble telling me who was boss and where he wanted to take his photo at! :) As long as I listened to him, I got smiles... so I am cool with that! ;) So cute, Carson!

Last, I took engagement photos for my very good friends, Abbey and Adam! We took these photos in the evening and in the pouring rain! They were under an umbrella, I was under an umbrella, we had to use flash photography (which is never my favorite)... but we made it work and there are some great photos! Just one below... because I want them to be the first to share their favorites! xo.

Because I LOVE everything about this photo and because I am headed to Ohio to this weekend for a handful of photo sessions! Super excited to see some of my favorite kiddos and take engagement photos for one of my good friends and her amazing husband-to-be! :)

How perfect is her style? I love it... and her {photography}! Only thing I would change... I'm a canon gal ;) PS. I have to admit... I probably wrote "say cheese!" 500 times! I am still not that great at writing on my drawing tablet that Alejandro got me almost a year ago! I'll have to keep practicing... maybe one day it will actually look like my handwriting! :)

Hi Friends!  I am very excited to share some of the photos I took when I was back in Ohio last weekend.  I was nervous about a rainy day, but the weather cooperated and I was able to capture these little kiddos having fun!  My favorite thing about the three sessions below is that this is the third time I have photographed each of these families!  Love watching them grow...

Ashley Gale Photography: Newborn

While I was home for Thanksgiving, I was able to take photos of my cousins brand new little boy - Jack, Jack!  He is so little and precious and very photogenic!  So happy that I convinced my cousin to buy the little bear hat - it suits him perfectly!  We also attempted some super cute santa hat photos with twinkle lights - the photography looks great, but the poor little man is pouring is eyes out!  We are going to try again at Christmas - maybe he will be a little happier after Santa comes!!

This coming weekend I have another newborn session with a girlfriend from work who just had a baby girl!  I am super excited because I know this little princess has a lot of fun props... can we say tutu photos?!  I'm pumped!! :)  Have a great night! xxoo.

Hi Friends! I had another photo session this weekend for Jason's 6 month photos! He made my job so easy because he smiled the entire time... seriously, the happiest baby alive!  We did a lot of little naked butt photos (that I know his mom is going to adore)... but when it was time to get dressed - I became a little jealous of his super cute wardrobe!  Splendid onesies and little boy Uggs... yes please! :) Sorry there is just one sneak peak... busy night for me, but definitely wanted to show off this little man! As soon as I found out I was moving, I had to set up a day of mini sessions with some of my favorite kiddos and their families!  We met in German Village and had a blast playing in the park, on a playground and in (yes, in) the fountain... I even got to take photos at my favorite ice cream shoppe!!  Here is a sneak peak for the beautiful families :)  PS. Ashley Gale Photography: Newborn

I had to share a precious photo from this past weekend!  Say hello to Nolan, the next Baby Gap model!  Seriously... how cute is his knitted 'smoking jacket'!!? :)  I went to high school with his parents and there is no doubt where these good looks came from!  I can't wait to show his mom and dad the rest of his photos! :)  Also, stay tuned for a few more babies this weekend!  I recently took photos of a handsome little man (and future baseball star) named Cole, as well a sweet little girl named Ella and her new baby brother Parker!  Have a great night!

Let me introduce you to the most precious baby boy, Evan James Nickels.  I had such a great time on Saturday visiting a good friend from high school and his family!  This was the first time I had taken photos of a newborn... and I sure did learn a lot!  Who knew that newborn photography included space heaters, heating pads, noise makers, and lots of patience :)  But... after reviewing the photos - it was all worth it!  I can't wait to take family portraits of this beautiful {family} this summer!  Below are just a couple of my favorites from Saturday! I have loved photos my entire life!  When I was a child, I would spend hours and hours flipping through photo albums of my parents and grandparents and I started scrapbooking at the age of 5.  In middle school, I would take photos of anything and everything -- I am positive I spent every dollar of allowance on film and photo developing!  In high school, I begged my parents to hire a professional photographer for my 16th birthday party -- and convinced my Dad to buy a brand new SLR camera for prom just so I could have the best pictures ever!  In college, I began reading books on composition, lighting and the two elements of great exposure (aperture & shutter speed).  Then, I was introduced to photo editing and learned how to take a simple picture and make it into a creative piece of art.  I realized that ten different people could take the same picture, but there was always one that stood out in the end! Last June I decided to take my love for photography to the next level. Since then, I have been having so much fun with my new camera and lenses!
