Before I even started working at {Free People}, I would look forward to receiving their catalog in the mail! Without being biased, I truly believe FP has one of the most creative and fun catalogs to flip through monthly! It is exciting to be so close to all of that creativity on a daily basis and to see the creative director's ideas transform into a catalog! ...with all of that being said, the January catalog that dropped last week is by far my favorite Free People catalog to date! Half of the catalog is styled towards LA fashion and the other half is styled towards NY fashion! Having lived on both the West and the East Coasts, I could relate and thought the stylists/photographers did an amazing job showing the different looks! Of course... I relate more towards the second half of the catalog (NY) since that is more my style, but check out some of my favorite pages from both coasts!

I'm an east coast girl, so definitely relate to the ny style. I love all the casual, summery looks of the la pages though & its making me wish for warmer weather!
I am definitely an NY girl. I have always tried to inject some bohemian into my wardrobe but it doesn't feel natural! That being said, I also think I am more of an uptown NY girl, rather than downtown!
i think I'm more LA but live in NY...maybe a hybrid!?

I'm SUCH a NY girl (though I can only wish I was as stylish as those pages!). This is a cool idea for the catalog. I like how the NYC stuff seems a bit of a departure for the brand-I always think of Free People as very boho-California, so it's nice to see them do something a little different!

You work at FP?! No way! I love FP..... it comes close to my very favorite store. I already snatched up that white detailed dress in the bottom image on the left. Plan to wear it to Coachella. I'd have to say I think my style is both NYC and LA! I love love love receiving their catalog. No doubt.

Funny. I am from the Boston area, but live down in Charlotte NC, so I definitely feel like I have a little bit of both, but have been scouring the internet for a pair or cowboy boots, so not quite sure what that means for my style? www.atfirstblushbeauty.com
What a great post! I've admired Free People catalogs forever-- a few years ago I declared it my dream job to be a FP art director or just someone who works on their catalogs :) I'm definitely more New York- I'm obsessed with Cali style but to wear it is usually way out of my comfort zone!

So fabulous!! I love California girl style! Anything that looks like I am a surfer or live on the beach is so fun to me!!! Plus I am a huge Lauren Conrad fan haha :)
