Because I LOVE everything about this photo and because I am headed to Ohio to this weekend for a handful of photo sessions! Super excited to see some of my favorite kiddos and take engagement photos for one of my good friends and her amazing husband-to-be! :)

I am still not that great at writing on my drawing tablet that Alejandro got me almost a year ago! I'll have to keep practicing... maybe one day it will actually look like my handwriting! :)

Meeting The Sartorialist

On Saturday I went to {The Barnes Foundation} to check out the art exhibit unknowingly that Scott Shuman, photographer behind {The Sartorialist}, would be there for a meet and greet / book signing! It was my lucky day to meet the man who first connected fashion and everyday street life. Not only is he an inspiration to me as a photographer and a blogger... but he also went to Indiana University and graduated with a degree in Apparel Merchandising - just like me! :)

I decided to buy one of his famous prints from the streets of NYC - a classic shot of Harper's Bazaar editor {Joanna Hillman}. His posters have only been available since last Thursday and he told me that my print was the first one he has signed! So cool. I absolutely love how it looks framed in a {black gallery frame}. Wedding Wednesday: Meg + Chris

I am so excited to share photos from the wedding we attended in Calistoga, California two weekends ago! The wedding was at the {Solage}, a beautiful and romantic setting right in the middle of wine country! It was absolutely perfect... loved that we were greeted with yummy champagne as we arrived, loved how the beautiful couple said their own vows to each other before sunset with the mountains as their background, and absolutely loved all of the little details Meg and Chris added as their own personal touch! :) 

Above: The ceremony. Perfect. Right? And her dress... one of her good friends who is a designer at Calvin Klein made it for her! Absolutely beautiful! Below: Meg and Chris are big dancers and the dancing lasted all night! Check out Meg's reception dress, Chris' dancing shoes and even Lulu (the dog) made an appearance! Happy times all around!

If you follow me on {instagram}, you saw some of their many fun details! It was like I was surrounded by pinterest the entire night! ;) The striped straws, drink flags, chalkboard signs, monograms, basket of dancing shoes and canvas totes for everyone are just a few!

Our SF Trip ♥

Hi Friends! Happy Monday! ...and Happy October! :) I didn't get to say that last week since I took the week off from my blog. It was the first time I have ever gone a whole week without scheduling some kind of post, but it was a much needed break from the computer. Wish I could say that I spent my time away doing fun things, but last week was completely consumed by work, work and more work! I guess that is what I get for taking a few days off to head out west! Our trip to San Francisco and Napa was absolutely fabulous and I was sad we had to leave! We spent two days in SF and two days in Napa mostly eating and sipping on wine, but also attending a wedding with some good friends! Totally normal!

I used to run the Lyon Street Stairs, but decided a photo opp was more appropriate for this trip! ;)

I love when {Friday's Fancies} theme is outfit crush! Most likely because I'm always finding some outfit I am completely obsessed with either on {pinterest} or {tumblr}! The outfit I'm still crushing on right now has been circling around the web for about a month now, but it's still a favorite... and totally affordable (if you are lucky enough to still snag this sweater) --

How perfect for fall! The sweater is from {Old Navy}... but they are sold out almost everywhere! But, there are other options... {Gap} just came out with their wool version and you can still splurge on {J.Crew}'s cashmere version which I blogged about {here}... either way, someone will have the perfect polka dot sweater for you! :)

Catbird ♥

If you follow me on {instagram} or {twitter}, you know that my sweet boyfriend gave me the cutest {catbird ring} ever last Friday.  I've been a big fan of {catbird} for a couple of years... and he picked the best one ever! Pumpkin Spice Protein Smoothie

I don't think I have posted since Saturday, so I can officially say, Happy Fall! Not sure about you, but fall is by far my favorite season! Another favorite thing... smoothies!!! ((Which I have posted about {here} and have a pinterest board completely dedicated to it {here}!)) So... it's no surprise that I stopped scrolling through my facebook newsfeed when I saw that {Lululemon} posted a fall smoothie recipe (perfect for after a fall run)! Well, it's true! The {Pumpkin Spice Protein Smoothie} tastes as yummy as it sounds so I had to share the recipe... Enjoy!

San Fran + Napa Bound... in one week!

In one week, Alejandro and I are heading out to the west coast to celebrate one of my dear friends as she marries her best friend! I am so excited to see friends that I have not seen in almost 4 years and to hang out in my old stomping grounds! Seriously, 4 years since I have been to San Francisco??! That is never allowed again! :) It's going to be a quick trip... so I am strategically planning out our 3 and a half days there so we can try to hit up all of my favorite places! I have already warned Alejandro that there might be a day or two that we have like 6 meals... just so we can fit everything in - he is totally on board!! ;) And while I am quite familiar with many wineries in Napa and Sonoma (seriously living less than an hour away from there was the best)... I have room in our itinerary for one more winery! So... I am taking recommendations! Which one is your favorite that we can't miss out on?  xxoo.

I've been browsing all of my favorite jewelry websites a lot lately trying to find the perfect necklace to wear with my dress for the wedding we have in Napa next weekend. Good and bad idea! Good idea because I found some jewels that I absolutely love.
