Facebook Cover Photos

Well... the day has come! The day that Facebook forced me to go from the old format to the new (ok, not so new) timeline version! I've been holding out on this change because I was never really a fan of their big update. I mean, the idea of a "timeline" is cool... but the page loads are ridiculously slow. Anyway, as soon as I realized that I was automatically converted to timeline, I started thinking about my cover photo! What in the world was I going to have as my cover photo?? Especially since I'm more of a square photo kind of girl (instagram lover) than a long horizontal rectangle! I started clicking through some of my friend's pages and instantly found a common theme - 1. a photo of their bridal party 2. a photo of their newborn baby and 3. a beach landscape of some sort. Well, two out of three of those were not even an option for me... so I knew I had to get to work in photoshop! And... here is what I came up with:

Hi Friends! Just wanted to pop in and say HI! It's been another crazy week and I can't believe it is already Thursday! And.. did anyone else realize that it is August in just a few days! I feel like this summer went as fast as it did back in 2nd grade! ;) Last night we had a little summer party at work - here are a few snapshots from the event!

It's no secret that I have a slight obsession with polka-dots!  Still loving my {polka dot jeans} and spotted popover from the Spring! Friday's Fancies: {Euro Chic}

While {av} is across the pond on her little European getaway, she deemed this week's {Friday's Fancies} theme to be Euro Chic.  If you know me, you know that it is my absolute dream to go to Paris! And, I am finally making that dream come true in 7 months! Don't laugh, but I am already counting down the days! Ask my friend {Lindsay}, I email her weekly about Paris - fortunately for me, she lives there and knows all the best places! Also, a big fan of the blog {Hip Paris} - it's a great read if you have room on your google reader! Anyway, I am always inspired by a little Parisian fashion... how fabulous are these looks?

Ahhh... Paris street style is just perfection! I won't be that well dressed on my trip, but I'll try to step it up a notch so I don't look like a frumpy American! ;) Below are just a few items on my dream Paris packing list. NYC Bridesmaid Flashmob

Hi Friends! Happy Monday! I wanted to share an exciting event with you that is taking place tomorrow morning in Times Square, NYC! My friends over at {Little Borrowed Dress} are organizing a bridal party flash mob as part of another surprise event that will be happening at the same time!! This is going to be a super exciting day for them... and personally, I think it sounds awesome! I wish so much I could be there for it! However, for anyone who is in NYC...  they are looking for any ladies who want to join their bridal party flash mob tomorrow at 7:30 am! Come decked out in an old bridesmaid dress (or really any dress that could pass as a bridesmaid)! I am positive this is going to be quite a scene! :) Hint, Hint - photographers/bloggers... Have your cameras ready!

Friday's Fancies: {Wedding Guest}

Today's {Friday's Fancies} theme is wedding guest attire! Perfect timing for me since I still have a few more weddings to attend this year and I need to start thinking about what I am going to wear!  I am really looking forward to dress shopping for the wedding we have in Savannah, Georgia next month.  Not sure if I am going to go floral or seersucker or something in between - but hoping I can play a little on the "southern" side - maybe?!  After that, I have my friend Meg's wedding in Napa! I have no idea of what kind of dress I am going to wear for that celebration... but definitely something easy that is perfectly 'Napa Chic'! Fall Forward: {alice + olivia}

This week has always been one of my favorite weeks! In retail terms, it's called July Wk 2. In real people terms, it's called the beginning of fall apparel!  Yes... this is the week that most retailers start putting out their fall deliveries! Way before I ever started working in retail, I looked forward to this week because I could officially start begging Mom to go 'back to school shopping'!  I just had to plan my first day of school outfit - obviously a huge priority in any teenage girl's mind! ;) Anyway, even with it being 100+ degrees outside, I still maintain that 'back to school shopping' mentality! Current Obsession: Casetagram

I have officially added, "make me a super cute iPhone cover using {casetagram}" to my summer to do list!  How cool are these?  One of my friends posted a photo of her newly customized case on instagram/facebook last night and I stopped everything I was doing to stalk her and get the details!  How did I not see them when they were featured on {Refinery 29} last umm... October!! or {Guilt} a couple months ago!  Actually... maybe everyone already knows about this?? Well, either way - you've caught my attention {casetagram}!  Can't wait to show you guys my finished product!! xxoo.

And... a quick side note: I moved to Philly one year ago today! It's absolutely crazy how time flies!  Feels like just yesterday that I was trying to explain to my friends, family and co-workers that I just had this "feeling" I needed to move to Philadelphia asap! :) A couple weeks after moving, I realized it was the best move EVER when I met Alejandro! ♥

Life Lately...

Hi Friends! I feel like I haven't posted in so long.. so I thought I would update you on life today!  First, thank you to all of the fabulous bloggers who participated in the {Summer of Prep Series}! Not only do I truly love preppy inspirations (especially all of the inspirations each of you put together), I also needed a little break from blogging to work on another project - so I am very thankful that you all were able to step in! :) So.... let's see -where do I start on my summer? Well, my weeks pretty much look like this:

Yup! I head to NYC every weekend to see my guy while  he works his butt off "banking"! I haven't gotten too much time with him while I am there - but it is worth the few meals we have spent together! But... it's only for the summer (5 more weeks) and then he will be back to Philly for another year and I can draw in some happy faces! :)  Other than that... just working hard during the week and counting down the days until our summer vacation in August!  We will be heading down to South Carolina and Georgia for 10 days!! So soon... can't wait! For more of what I have been up to, I included some {instagrams} from the past month!
